Hello Seahorse Families,

It's been great to see so many new and returning faces during the start of pre-season practices! We only have two topics for this week's email, but these topics are very important, so we appreciate you reading the whole message. 

Kick-Off Meeting

THIS upcoming Sunday, May 4th from 3pm - 4pm! New families are highly encouraged to attend, and returning families are more than welcome. We'll talk through all things swim team... and rumor has it some new merch may be available for sale. Please stay for the all-member opening party immediately afterward!

Parent Jobs

A gigantic THANK YOU to our 2025 Parent Job Coordinators Kelly Roush and Kaitlin Lewis who have been hard at work determining the parent job points for the year. In signing your child up for swim team, you agree to work with other parents to complete jobs essential for making the team work. Unlike other sports or activities, swim team is a family commitment. Las Trampas Swim Team wouldn't be what it is without our community coming together to create a great summer for all of our swimmers.

From Kelly & Kaitlin: "There have been some changes this year to the Parents tabs of the Las Trampas website, so please take some time to read through them. You will find detailed Job Descriptions, Sign Up Information and Substitute Policies. While it may seem like a lot of information up front, it will save you time during the signup process and may prevent misunderstandings and subsequent fines. Returning families, please note some of the information has changed from the 2024 season, so be sure to check out the website to avoid confusion. 

And drumroll... the commitment for the 2025 season is 20 points per family and signups will open on Monday, May 5th at 8 PM. Signups will close on Monday, May 12th at 8 PM. Families who have not fulfilled their commitment at that time will be manually assigned jobs, regardless of whether they work in your schedule, so please make an effort to plan ahead. All families will sign up for points for the regular season with the following exceptions:

• Parents of only 15-18 year old swimmers (will work DCSL & invitationals)
• Parents with Star Jobs (will work DCSL & invitationals)
• Winner of the Parent Job Buyout Lottery. One winner will be picked for this lottery and pay $750 for the season to be excused from regular season parent jobs (but will work DCSL & invitationals). If you are interested in the lottery, you need to email ([email protected]) indicating your interest by Saturday, May 3rd at 8 PM.
