Declarations & Private Lessons Update
Hello Seahorse Families,
What a great day for Time Trials! The weather and temperature were fantastic and it was so much fun to see the swimmers establishing their baseline times for future pops! If you haven’t already declared for this season’s meets, make sure you follow the Weds-Sat declaration inverse: Declare for all Saturday meets by the Wednesday night before, and all Wednesday night meets by the Saturday before. For example, the deadline to declare for this Saturday’s home meet vs. Walnut Heights is Wednesday (tomorrow) night.
Private Lessons
Last night, private lessons filled up much faster (and more aggressively) than they have in the past. Please be aware of the following:
- As stated online, each swimmer is allowed ONE lesson with Coach Andrew. If your family signed up for more than this allocation, please expect a cancelation of your additional lesson(s) and refund.
- In order to give more swimmers an opportunity for private lessons, to start, each swimmer will be allowed ONE 4-day private lesson session with an assistant or junior coach. We realize that this was not originally stated online, and hoped families would be aware of the limited availability for the entire team. Therefore, if your family signed up for more than one weeklong lesson session per swimmer, please expect a cancelation of your additional session(s) and refund. After everyone has a chance to sign up for lessons, families can sign up for additional lessons above the one-per-swimmer rule on Tuesday, May 25th.
- If you were originally unable to secure lessons for your swimmer, Private Lessons Round 2 will open this Thursday at 8pm.
This season we have a larger coaching staff, so there will be more pull-outs for individual work on diving, side-breathing, flip turns, etc. Even if you do not have a private lesson, please know that your swimmer will be receiving a plethora of instruction throughout the summer.
Future Emails
Please be on the lookout for two more emails this week— one with apparel updates, and the other about social events.
Goooooooo Seahorses!
