Social Events

There are 11 spots left on the Signup Genius for the Pay-to-Play Parent Party “Lyin’ Pirates!” Join us at the Kacher's (Apache Ct) for drinks and heavy snacks, and then move onto the Wohlerts (Gold ct) for a Liar's Dice Tournament. Please know these spots are for party-goers who will NOT be participating in the Liars’ Dice tournament. If you’d like to get on the waitlist to play Liars’ Dice at the party, please contact Colleen at [email protected]. This event is graciously hosted by the Wohlert, Roush, Smith/Kacher, and Lewis Families.

Mom’s Night In Wine Tasting Night! An additional 7 spots were just added! Please click on the Registration link on the swim team website.

You can still sign up for Dad’s Night Out (6/27), Swim Team Day at the SF Giants Game (6/26), and LTST Afternoon at the Dublin Wave (7/18). These events are open and available for purchase through the Registration link on the swim team website as well.

Other Reminders

Our Lost & Found is packed! There’s some quality stuff in there… please give it a once-over to make sure none of it is yours. We will be emptying the Lost & Found throughout the summer via donations to make sure it doesn’t get too out of hand.

Do you have a 14+ swimmer or former swimmer interested in being a Mudskippers-SeaPonies Coach? If so, we’d love to have them! They may sign up here for dates that work in their schedule.

Reminder to read the informative email from the desk in advance of each meet and check the program for relay participation (see note below re: missed relays on Saturday). Another reason to read the meet details - we just learned the Forest Hills meet on Saturday will start at 8:30am instead of the usual 9am - we updated the online calendar and noting here, but the desk email will include all important information on start time, parking, etc.!

Picture Day is next Thursday! Please see the attached flyer and use this link to pre-purchase picture packages (note that buddy pictures must be pre-purchased). Please plan on having your picture taken (in your team suit or team shirt) even if you don't plan to purchase photos so we can have a complete team photo! There are a couple make-up days in their Dublin studio - please sign-up here

Snack Shack Tuesday starts next week! The SnackShackTuesday team will be selling lunch meals including grilled items, fruit, and a treat from 11:30am to 1:00pm.

For Families with 8&Unders

We appreciate families helping their 8&u swimmers get to the shepherd area when you hear the bell and/or announcements about their upcoming races. Shepherds cannot always search the pool areas for swimmers while they are herding cats-- we mean KIDS, into their appropriate lane lines and heat groups.

Please *please* check to see if your swimmers are in a relay. We had a significant number of families fail to show up in time for their swimmer to participate in the Medley Relay, or leave early before the Free Relay last Saturday. We think this could be due to parents checking events in their Swimtopia app and not checking the meet program When we are missing swimmers in a relay, we often end up canceling that relay much to the disappointment of other swimmers in the relay and their families.

Ribbons this year: Our league, Diablo County Swim League has adopted new standards for ribbons (p.4, #7). While this is fewer ribbons than in previous years, we agree that it creates less waste (we’ve already seen fewer ribbons littered in the parking lot), saves the team some money, and *might* dial up that motivation just a pinch more!
