Seahorse Families,

Thank you again for your flexibility and patience as the plumbing issues are addressed at the pool. To echo the all-pool email, please accompany your children to the temporary restrooms in the parking lot.

We appreciate you reading through the following updates:

1) We are excited to kick off the summer season with our first morning practice tomorrow where our spirit teams will be posted. The goal of the spirit teams is to promote team spirit— cheering for teammates, participating in non-meet activities, etc. Spirit team tickets will be issued to kids throughout the season, with an acknowledgement of the winning spirit team at Awards Night.

2) You can still declare for Wednesday night’s Intra Squad Meet until 10pm tomorrow (Monday) night! “Wait, what’s an Intra Squad meet?” Because we had a gap in our dual meet schedule this upcoming Wednesday, we're trying out something new: an Intra Squad meet (no opposing team), which features a friendly competition between our own spirit teams. We hope to provide our swimmers with another "popportunity" while also encouraging team spirit and good sportsmanship. Swimmers are encouraged to dress in their spirit team color, which will be posted on the team bulletin board above the drinking fountain tomorrow. All swimmers (7&up) will be entered in the IM as well as two individual events. **Please know that there are no guarantees that swimmers will be entered into their preferred events.** Additionally, free relays will consist of swimmers on the same spirit team, so that spirit teams will be racing against each other!

3) Many of our seasoned seahorse families will recall the prior coach lunch requirement. While we have removed this requirement, we do want to show our appreciation to our hard working coaches throughout the season, and what better way than through their stomachs! Please consider finding a day via this SUG to provide a breakfast/brunch/snack/treat for our coaches this season!

4) Social events are a great way to connect with other seahorse families off the pool deck! Please review the event calendar and sign up when you can!

5) Our camp director, Erin Zaich, is planning a great three weeks of Seahorse Day Camp (thank you Erin!). Please consider donating used but complete board games and legos for the camp— she’ll have a collection box by the ribbon boxes.

6) Now that Wednesday night meets are starting, we wanted to remind everyone of the deadline for meet declaration: Declare for Wednesday meets by Saturday evening, and declare for Saturday meets by Wednesday evening. You can always use this form if you have a change in declaration (no guarantees!). Thanks for helping us by adopting this new process!

7) Upcoming Events

• Monday 6/1: First day of summer practice!
• Tuesday 6/2: 6&under social 4:00-5:30 at LT
• Wednesday 6/3: Intra Squad Meet 5:30-8:30 at LT
• Thursday 6/4: Team Picture Day 9:00am-12:00pm (see 5/25 email for more info)
• Saturday 6/6: LTST vs. Sun Valley @ Sun Valley Pool 9:00am - 1:00pm (declare by Wednesday, 6/3!)
