Forest Park Invitational + Mid-week Reminders
Hello Seahorse Families,
With our July break quickly approaching, we wanted to send out a few reminders to get everyone set.
1) Forest Park will be hosting an invitational on Sunday, July 12th. As promised, we have an official Sign Up Genius (SUG) to declare and choose your swimmers' events. This meet is optional. You can find more information about the meet on the SUG as well as here. Please note that if LT brings more than 20 swimmers, we will likely have some parent volunteer shifts! But it will be fun! Additionally, relays are not promised, as we are not sure yet of how many swimmers we will have in each age group.
2) Reminder that our next two regular swim meets are at irregular times.
- Rancho Colorados @ LTST is this Saturday, but in the afternoon/evening instead of the morning. Our warm-ups begin at 3pm.
- LTST @ Springbrook is next Tuesday instead of Wednesday due to the upcoming break. It is still a PM meet.
3) There will be no practice next week on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday due to our July break. Practice will resume on Monday, July 6.
4) And finally...Our DCSL championship meet is one month away! This is the culmination of the season for the majority of our swimmers, and our opportunity to really shine as a team! Your participation is very important as the margins between team standings have historically been very slim - every point, every swimmer, every race counts! We will continue to share out information in the upcoming weeks, but for now:
- Please go in and declare as soon as possible (no later than Friday, 7/10). We hope that your family can participate fully on both days of this 2-day trials-and-finals format meet. However, if your family is not available one of the days, please mention that in the declaration notes so that your swimmer is assigned to events on the day that you will be attending.
- Every family (including those with Star Jobs) will be asked to perform a parent job at the league meet. Jobs will open on Tuesday, 7/14, at 8pm.
Thank you for reading, and let's out-pop those Walnut Heights Otter pops tonight!
