Team Announcements July 20

Dear Seahorse Families,

We can't believe this is the last week of the LTST Season! There are all sorts of fun Spirit events planned every day throughout the week (see the calendar), and we hope you and your swimmers can join us!

The biggest spirit event happening this week is Family Spirit Night this upcoming Wednesday! Since we do not have our regular Weds evening dual meet, we will be celebrating our Seahorse Spirit with our Sea Ponies Debut, Family Relays (a total flex opportunity for parents...), and a cake decorating contest! For food, we'll be hosting a potluck. Here is our approximate timeline:

  • 5:30 - 6:00 Potluck dinner served! Please arrive with your dish around 5:30. You can still sign up!
  • 6:00 Sea Ponies debut
  • 6:15 - 6:45 Family Relay warm ups and Prelims
  • 7:00 Cake decorating contest judging and eating!
  • 7:15 Family Relay Finals
  • 7:30 - 8:00 Senior Recognition, Coach Andrew Remarks, Coaches' Video!

In preparation for the DCSL Championship this weekend, we have an opportunity for swimmers to practice in the Acalanes HS pool! The Pre-DCSL extra practice will be on Thursday with age groups practicing during the following increments:

  • 8&U - 2pm - 2:20pm
  • 9-10 - 2:20pm - 2:40pm
  • 11&U - 2:40pm - 3:00pm

At the end of every season, we collect contributions for coaches' gifts. Our coaches collectively work over 2000 hours every season and go above and beyond to ensure our swimmers have an enjoyable season in and out of the pool! If you'd like to contribute to coach gifts this year, please Venmo our team treasurer here by Friday.

Additionally at the end of every season, our Awards Night includes a slideshow to highlight swimmers' fun moments throughout the season. Please submit your photos here; our hope is to have every swimmer included.

And finally... DCSL! There is quite a bit of info posted in the team calendar, so we will spare you the extra wording in this email. However, please let us know if you have any questions.

For the swimmers who have achieved Gold Times-- Congratulations! We will be sending out additional County information soon as well

Take care and Gooooo Seahorses!

- Heather, Amy & Erin
